Achivements
AADI’s dynamism in responding to changing knowledge has resulted in being recognised as an organization that is reflective, proactive and capable of delivering quality services. The central questions that always directed the work were: “Are we addressing the needs of people with disabilities effectively?” “Is our work making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities?”People with disabilities, families, professionals, friends and well wishers, funders, volunteers, government officials, resource people from the industry and members of the larger society have all shaped and strengthened the conviction and commitment to the Vision of an Inclusive Society.

- Families and people with disabilities share a deep, lasting bond with AADI, feeling accepted and supported, often returning during difficult times for guidance and proudly associating with our programs.

Impact of our Wrok
On 25th January 2021, AADI received the National CSO Award for Accessible Elections from the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, for its contributions to accessible elections and service on national and state committees.
AADI was recognized as the Best NGO Partner by the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) for helping students become compassionate, value-driven professionals.
Dr. Deepak Chauhan, supported by AADI’s Rural Program, received the Achievers Award on World Cerebral Palsy Day 2022. From a local school in Hirapur to pursuing an MD in Radio-Diagnosis, his journey is an inspiring success story.
AADI’s film “Togetherness,” directed by Radhika Chandrasekhar and telling Meenu and Samuel Mani’s story, won an award at SAHAS 2018 organized by Dhanak for its message of resilience and courage.
AADI was honored with the State Award for Best Electoral Practice on 25th January 2020, presented by Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Ranbir Singh.
Newer programs
Newer programs based on contemporary thinking were initiated – Sambhav, E-Daksh, Life Skills, Community program in urban poverty areas, Training and Capacity building integrating Rights and Inclusion, adult franchise, supported living, participation of people with disabilities in community life and active citizenry were focused upon.
Carrying on
A decade into this journey, we’re confident in our vision. We continue to center our work around the needs of persons with disabilities—building replicable models, nurturing leadership, expanding trained human resources, leveraging technology, and influencing policy to ensure services reach even the most remote areas.
